Welcome to Skills 4 Work

Hi, let me introduce myself, my name is Steve Thompson and I am the Project Manger and one of the Tutors at Skills 4 Work and very pleased to be involved with this new and exciting project, helping others get back into work.

I hold a 2nd Class Honours Degree in Electrical Engineering (B.Eng), a Fellow of the IET (used to be known as the Institute of Electrical Engineers, IEE), a Chartered Electrical Engineer (C.Eng) and a Specialist Member of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (SIIRSM) plus I also hold a Level 3 Certificate in Teaching & Education, Internal Quality Auditor qualification and a Level 6 Certificate in Applied Health & Safety.

I have over 40 years in the Telecoms and Electrical / Electronics Engineering Industry. I started my career at BT as an apprentice and then moved to the world of Cable TV in 1994 (Yorkshire Cable / Telewest & Virginmedia), until I left in 2013 to become self employed under my own company Ledgard Consulting.
